Why use all-natural skin care products?

Why use all-natural skin care products?

There are already tons of organic skin care products in the market, online and offline. People are now more self-conscious and mindful of what they eat and what they put on their skin. Yet, commercial products still eat a big chunk in the cosmetics industry.  There are several reasons, I think, why consumers still buy cosmetics with chemical ingredients. As a stay at home Mom, I am fully aware of the struggles in eliminating toxic products at home and switching to all-natural skincare. 1. Organic skincare products are not cheap. This is a reality. When I buy our produce from the...

Our handmade soaps are here!

Our handmade soaps are here!

Yes! After more than three months of curing, our cold processed soaps are now here! I began making soaps in my kitchen late last year, and I felt that the long wait was really worth it. My first batch of oatmeal soap wasn't good enough to sell, but nevertheless, my sisters and help loved it.  I have oily and acne-prone skin, so I need a body soap that is gentle to use and baby-friendly. Based on my more-than-a-year research (soapmaking has been stuck in the back of my head for a couple of years now), I learned that castile soaps...

My fave new product: Hand & Cuticle Salve!

My fave new product: Hand & Cuticle Salve!

We launched our new product early this month! Yay! And it's my new fave - our Hand & Cuticle Salve. I admit that my hands are the most neglected part of my body. I only had a total of three manicures after I left university. I also rarely use hand lotion, and I always have a hangnail. As my tired, dry, hardworking hands start to look more than my real age, I decided to whip up my own hand and cuticle salve that I would actually, really use every day. After three recipes, I finally made this wonder of a...

As a Mom...

Melanie Ramos

I remember when I found out I was pregnant five years ago. I was not ready to be a Mom because I felt and thought that I didn't have it in me. You know, being a Mom and being good at it.After I gave birth, I was manic at almost every aspect of newborn/baby/toddler care. I was the usual "helicopter mom" and I walked with guilt over my head every time my colicky baby cried and failed to sleep through the night. It was a bit of a nightmare (stretching my imagination here ha!).  Long story short, I/we pulled through...

Love your tigerstripes

Love your tigerstripes

I AM MIGHTY PROUD OF MY TIGER STRIPES.I used to hate my stretchmarks. I had a few even before childbirth courtesy of my yo-yo figure. The fugly blackish-reddish stripes came out on 6th month of my pregnancy. I had PUPPP, hence, my tummy was itchy all the time. They say that #tigerstripes lighten in a few years or so. Well, just give it time. And slather on our cocoa mint healing lotion bar because our body (and tummy!) needs more pampering after all the stress we put ourselves into. 😉 My #tigerstripes don't bother me anymore. It's part of who I am. It's one way...
