It's the second week of 2017. Work is a bit crazy - I am at a loss most of the time. I have a lot of things on my mind, plans that I think I need to do to make this new year more fruitful. Guess what, this pressure to make every day count only makes me less productive and unfocused. And this is not a good way to start the year right, right?!?!
But, before I beat myself up with unnecessary stress, I have to do something about my awful and unsure disposition now.
I am blessed to have a daughter who reminds me every day that I need to love myself first so I can love her more. We can't pour from an empty cup, right?
One of my goals this year is to prioritize self-care and self-love. As a mom to a toddler, my schedule is quite packed and I neglect my personal needs. This year, I will "reward" myself with me-time every single day. It might not sound productive for a multi-tasking mama like me (and I don't want to multitask anymore!), but I notice that I am more focused and motivated when I am being KIND to myself. Being kind means that I am more mindful of how my family and l live - what we eat and what we use on our skin. I have yet to fully elimininate our home of chemical and artifical-laden pantry and body products, but I/we will get there.
